The Wackiest Wildest Weirdest Animals in the World

The Wackiest Wildest Weirdest Animals in the World by Jack Hanna
JV Nonfiction/Animals/General - DVD Inside
Format: Hardcover w/DVD - 32 pages
Retail Price: $19.99

What animal hisses and can grow from 2 to 3 inches long? Would you guess that it’s a snake? What animal’s name means “fast tongue”? And, what animal drinks up to 50 gallons of water a day? Have fun exploring and learning cool fun facts about thirty of the wackiest, wildest and weirdest creatures on the planet.

This book is divided into three sections: wacky, wild and weird, and it’s not only fun to read with great photos but educational, located in the back is a two page glossary containing thirty-seven words.

Have fun with your family and friends while watching the funniest blunders, bloopers and behind the scenes DVD taken from “Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild” TV show.

My children and I enjoyed reading and learning new facts about the many different animals in this book. Among our favorites were the echidna, sloth and the okapi. The Okapi looks like a giraffe, horse and zebra all in one. We are glad that we don’t need to use our tongues to clean our ears. Ewww…..

I think that adding a pronunciation key to this book would have been a much needed plus. How do you pronounce the word ovoviviparous? I also would have liked to see a DVD that correlates with the book.

This book and DVD is great for all ages to enjoy!
