Nelson’s Illustrated Guide to ReligionsBy James A. Beverley
A Comprehensive Introduction to the Religions of the World
“Professor Beverley is on of the major Christian leaders in the study and analysis of new and world religions. His Nelson’s Illustrated Guide to Religions is an important addition to my library.”
- Gary R. Habermas
Distinguished Research Professor, Liberty University
Nelson’s Illustrated Guide to Religions is massive in size and content, containing over 640 pages of beautifully illustrated maps, charts and more. I applaud Mr. Beverley on all the hard work and research, from over the past 3 decades, that he published into this wonderful book. The features are numerous. We can learn from his example, as how to use compassion toward other people and their beliefs, not wavering on the important details in a loving and caring manner.
My husband took Theology before we got married, and like him, I have always wanted to dig deeper into our own faith. If you want to know the in’s and out’s of our Christian faith in comparison to the many other religions from all over the world, then this book can aid you in your research.
As Christians, we are to know how to answer others when it comes to explaining our faith in Jesus Christ. Many times, we encounter others that are non-Christian, as they share their own faith and it is important to know how we differ and how we are similar on many key Biblical issues.
